No one needs to offer lectures on this matter.

I will repeat my position once again. We will not know just how much oil interests were involved in the US decision to invade Iraq until well after this whole thing is over. It does no good to accept the word of the US government on its face, since, Dems and Reps, in these cases have, at best fudged things and, at worst, simply flat out lied. So, we don't know. We may know, in the fullness of time, as the cliche goes, with historical revelations, with memoirs, or with an Ellsberg.

I suspect the same is the case with the French and Russians.

You are more than welcome to hold a different opinion. I will not hector you about it.
