I suppose obesity will be the silent killer of the future (replacing smoking, car accidents and murders). The number of victims as well as the costs to the community will easily outnumber those resulting from all wars since WW II easily. A diligent president would, amongst other things, like education, concentrate on that (and perhaps, send excess food to the LDCs).
