<<<Both the attack on the WTC, and the anthrax mailings, were not domestically planned, but were carried out by terrorists that had taken advantage of our lax, and fairly incompetent, border guards>>>
Then you won't have any problem supplying some links to reliable sources to make your case. In the case of the WTC I doubt you'll be able to find much in the way of proof one way or the other. In the case of the anthrax letters, the evidence completely eliminates any possibility of foreign origins.
If you've been brainwashed by extremist right wing propaganda, you'll probably have a difficult time accepting the reality of the evidence. No one likes to see holes poked in their fondest prejudices. The link I included in the previous post outlines the facts in no uncertain terms. If your mind set is that of the hick who proudly proclaimed, "Thar ain't no such critter.", upon seeing a giraffe at the zoo, well, I guess about the best I can do is feel sorry for you.
<<<Why send anthrax to a nondescript employee of a dirt rag?>>>
A nondescript employee is more likely to open his mail than someone visible enough to receive truckloads of crank mail. Can you think of a better medium to reach the dumbest and most gullable members of the population? Unfortunately, I don't think you get any kudos for falling for a campaign that had idiots targeted for the first wave.
<<<Not all people are goal oriented.>>>
No one does anything without a pay off. You fix dinner when you're hungry. You check your mailbox to see if there is something interesting. You go to work to receive a paycheck, to provide yourself with food and shelter. You adopt certain types of behavior to avoid unpleasant consequences. You adopt other types of behavior to be rewarded with pleasant consequences.
Why do you think the concept of motive is the most critical aspect of police work? It's because without motive, there isn't a single person on earth who will do so much as walk across a room unless there is something on the other side of the room they want. |
