Tell you what's cheap now, though they have had a good run recently.

It's the Canadian energy trusts, epscially those heavy in natural gas.

I only realized in the last few days that they have been held back (in Canada) because to own one is to share liability beyond what you paid for the stock. But that seems about to be fixed.

They keep acquiring new properties and paying out most of the profits from oil and gas. And they do it so that a lot of it is return of capital. It is an absolute dream investment, with inflations protection and retunrs up to 20% yield (sometimes higher).

I have been following, owning, and buying more of these things for 2-3 years and am getting as excited as I was about closed-end stock funds (ADX, GAM, TY, CET and some you don't like, such as SOR and Baker Fentress) back in 1982.
