Hi Jim, I would never characterize QCOM management as being "conservative" in general, although they tend to be in terms of specific guidance. I seem to recall in fact that IJ had suggested that global penetration would be greater than 100%, with people carrying multiple CDMA devices, so 100% may be construed as lowering guidance :) Everyone who bought QCOM shares in the hundreds believed that QCOM growing market share to 100% was imminent. It's reassuring to hear that management thinks things are still on track, but its been part of the story for a while.
