I know I will probably get a lot of flack for saying this, but you are right. Theres no hurry here.

The Kurds and Shia's aren't like us, like the Rwandans before them, theres no good reason to expend our money or blood in helping them. Heck, we could listen to the Europeans - I think one of them intervened on the 'winning' side in Rwanda. Maybe we could make a buck selling supplies to Saddam.

In WW2 if we had joined with England (and yes France) some sources have wondered if Hitler would have pressed on. However, our delay did permit the ovens to continue operating for 2 years - but that wasn't our concern.

Isolationism and appeasement - those are the tickets!

Remember your not a racist when you stand by and watch a madman killing his people. It only counts if do it yourself.
