Well, I just know the longer we put this off the tougher its going to be on the troops. Frankly, we SHOULD have finished the job in 91 HOWEVER everyone advised us that Saddam would fall due to loss of face. Well, EVERYONE was wrong AND a lot of Iraquis died right in front of us believing as we did and TRYING to rise up, Schwartzkopp let Saddams people fly in their Helicopters (he didnt HAVE to allow that) and that was the end for them. This time IMHO we should do what WE THINK is right. I feel damn sorry for the troops having to wear that gas/chem stuff in hot weather. Never had any of that fancy stuff in my time but I can JUST IMAGIN how awful it must be in heat. Gas mask alone was a bitch I thought when we went through training at Camp Geiger. jdn
