This seems like a somewhat inconsequential story. Tucked in at the end, though, is this bit.

The media tycoon said the price of oil would be one of the war's main benefits.

"The greatest thing to come out of this for the world economy, if you could put it that way, would be $20 a barrel for oil. That's bigger than any tax cut in any country," Mr Murdoch said.


Um. I wonder if this is a broadly held sentiment. It's about the only rational explanation I can think of for the current action among the Friends of Cheney evident in this story:
