I just watched about 5 minutes of CNBC which is carrying CNBC Europe today. A money manager was talking and said that the markets were reacting postively to the toned down rhetoric from all sides and to the rumor that a framework had been worked out behind the scenes - the US agrees to a little more time and the French (and the Frenchettes) agree to absolutely firm language about the use of force at the end of the agreed upon time. Sounds like low testosterone, big time face saving is the order of the day for all pre-combat combantants. Just a rumor, of course. Paul
