We beat communism by containing it; and we contained communism by stopping communism's expansionist plans in NK, Vietnam, Iran, Nicuagra, Afghansitan, etc. We can beat terrorism much in the same way, by dividing and conquering it. If we allow OBL to combine with Saddam's WMD, OBL could easily put enough pressure on SA, to take over that gov. Then OBL would really have the US in a bind with Saddams WMD, the oil weapon, plus the buying power, Sa oil fields give him. With a friendly gov. in Iraq, we can put pressure on Iran, and keep SA out of OBL hands. Eventually OBL will pooper out, just like communism.
I disagree.......they are two very different animals. Now I understand yours and Ray's and Bush's thinking. Its based on the concept of how we dealt with communism. I don't think its going to work this way this time.
