Ooh, a "syndicate"! Still a favorite buzzword on the conspiracy hit list after all these years.

See, here's where you and I disconnect. I maintain that this so-called "syndicate" is nothing more than independent, like-minded individuals who share ideas about public companies.

But perhaps you can make a convincing case to the contrary. Let's find out. I'll start with an easy one.

Out of thousands of small public companies, maybe 1 or at most 2% of them are targets of significant short selling. How is it, do you say, that these "unlucky" 1 or 2% come to be target of this big conspiracy? How did MTXX (then GUMM) or REFR come to be "under attack" as it were?

Because you see, one can't help but notice that a huge proportion of these "targetted" companies ultimately suffer governmental sanction by the time the story is told. Just a coincidence?
