I agree with you on Syria controlling Lebanon. Shouldn't be that way. As I understand it, Syria uses Lebanon as a buffer against Israel who, with its US-supplied superior weaponry, hasd defeated the Syrian nation. Lebanon got squeezed in between. It comes back to not condemning Syria for this, but more to solving the Israel-Palestinian issue. Were that in place, Lebanon would be, well, Lebanon, which once was one of the most beautiful modern countries earth.
