I've read we're planning on not honoring them. At least one of the French contracts gives the French 70% of the profits, which isn't in the best interests of the Iraqi people.

I would guess that an interim occupation government would honor the existing contracts, leaving the final decision up to whatever Iraqi government ends up taking over.
