I too think it is about oil, but I happen to think of it in a different light than most who do the pondering. The terrorists were actually from Saudi Arabia---not Afghan's or Iraqi's. If we control or have a say so in the production of oil in the middle east, maybe we can control Saudi Arabia. Eventually we have to keep them from sponsoring terrorism. The "rich" people of this world tend to spend their money on their own pet projects and if they happen to dislike Mericans, they spend it on projects that hurt "Mericans". I have noticed that the same thing occurs here from the rich Left Coasters that think that they have a better way. It happens everywhere.
Eventually we will have to go after the people who actually sponsored the terrorism of 911, and they live in the big oil state over seas. Interesting thought.
