Paul, thank you for your comments. I did buy 5K shares of SINA around $1.5, it was below cash with no debt at that time. And I went to their website regularly and know their leading position in that market. I am still holding 3K and intend to hold it for a year or more.
The buy below cash method works some times, but fail other times. You are right it is determined by if the business can return to profitability. But profitability is hard to predict, when SINA made first profit, it is already up to $7-8 range.
Maybe I am stubborn, I still like the below cash buys. It seems to be in my bones.
