And at that point the excuses for Syrian behavior start. As usual, this is all the US's fault. After all, if we forced the Israelis to fight with clubs and slings like they did in the good old days, then Syria could overrun them, kill them all, and there would be no problem. Right?

No where does it say I condoned what Syria is doing in Lebanon. In fact, if you read fully, my position is exactly the opposite of what you outlined.

That is hardly the exact opposite. In fact you state Syria should NOT be condemned for invading a non-threatening country. Oh, and without Security Council approval. I thought you said ALL aggressive responses required that to be just and legal.
Otherwise, they SHOULD be condemned. Isn't that your position as regards US plans? Yes? No?
