Great post JDN. When our daughter was about 6 she tried to steal a purse from Walmart. I noticed that she looked pregnant and discovered she had shoved the purse up her dress. I took her to the manager and made her apologize. The manager then informed me that if the store had discovered the theft they could have charged her mother and myself since some parents put their children up to stealing stuff. Of course her mother spanked her when we got home. Our son never tried to steal anything and although he has forgotten, I remember him trying to stick a fork into a wall outlet. I did get his attention that day. It is difficult to reason small children and sometimes things must be made simpler for them. I am proud to say that my wife and I have 2 magnificent teenage children today. * * *
