You criticize us because we're a bit educated on the subject? Is that it? If you objectively read the past writing of the folks you're now criticizing you'll note neither of us wish Saddam was in power. We're all on record as stating this.
Me? I'm as American as you can get: Ballglove in my belt in Little League, peewee football, a star scout and the senior patrol leader, plenty of merit badges, a multiple varsity letter-holder and best dancer in my high school. At that point, I repudiated higher education and began educating myself. I found out that it wasn't all apple pie, particularly as I realized a larger world of people.
I've been a sports reporter, driven a cab, served in a state legislature, organized conferences at a prestigious Ivy League college, had a transcription business, and was even a Harvard Square Street Musician (a step up, by the way--lol!). Yes, I'm as American as they come.
And you know what? With all my heart and soul, and in the good grace of my belief in my mother and all her pie, I fervently believe George W. Bush is on a fatalistic course for people not only in this country, but throughout the world.
Sojourner, would you prefer my beliefs remain silent? Or do you really think it's necessary to accuse me of something I am not?
