I wanted Saddam to be tried as a war criminal twenty years ago when he first started using gas. But then Rummy was kissing his ass then. And handing him Anthrax.

I want him tried today.

But I cannot support the killing of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis just to get one monster whom we help create.

And the same applies for Osama. We created him. And we should bring him to justice.

No one wants these criminals to go free. Even for an instant.

But our immorality and cynicism in creating these monsters needs to be examined. And excised.
