Discussing Post-War Iraq While Preventing Foot-In-Mouth Disease

Hello Everyone;

This topic seems to be coming to the fore so I highly recommend reading Dr. Phebe Marr's testimony at the Senate hearing back last 1Aug02. In my opinion, everyone seriously thinking about commenting here on FADG about the post-war picture must read this foundational piece.

I haven't gotten to it yet, but I will. She's a trip--a real "dame," as Leo said to President Bartlett about the late Mrs. Landingham in a West Wing rerun the other night... tough as nails, honest, sensible, decent.

John, Thanks for the condensed summary of Phebe Marr's testimony before Congress. Ms. Marr's knowledge of Iraq is truly impressive, and I agree with your assessment that she presents herself as a credible expert without a political agenda....
