>>>without Bush there would be no inspectors in Iraq now<<<

I'll give some credit to that. And I'm glad the inspectors are in. I think most people are. But he committed too much, too early and it's all too costly--especially with our economic problems at home. Now he's in a stuck spot: he's damned if he does; damned if he doesn't. This in mind, the best thinking move is to save the most lives and keep the world in the least amount of conflict. That means diplomacy; not war.

Depending on what happens with or without this war, historians will certainly have a field day, especially given the manner in which he's alienated America's traditional allies. Going to war with only the Eastern European Block on his side is, well, foolish! Bush needs to think of healing; not killing!
