Because it is a criminal offense. They turned the information over to regulators.

You don't turn over information on ordinary criminal offenses to "regulators". You turn it over to the police. Or the FBI. Or the DoJ. It is not the SEC's job to prosecute extortion charges. Nor is it their task to relay information misdirected to them, to anticipate your next excuse.

No, I can hardly accept that the people at REFR are so incompetent they don't even know how to file a complaint. They don't press charges because they don't want to, because that would require them to present actual evidence of their claim, which by now I am convinced they do not have.
