You don't think that NATO, or America's military defenses stayed USSR's expansionist goals?


The Soviet military did not surrender to the United States. The people of the Soviet Union aspired to a more western way of life, and that was the work of peace, pop culture, and American liberties. Hands reaching to each other through holes in the Berlin Wall brought it down, not tanks, and bombs, and missles.
