Ted Re..Read your history........Saddam went after the Kurds in 1984;

AFAIK, Saddam gassed the kurds in 1998. I think the Iran Iraq war was sti8ll on in 84.

And then when the Kurds rose up against him in 1992, an uprising alleged to have been encouraged by the CIA, we stood by and watched the Kurds get slaughtered.

The US was prohibited to help by the UN. And while Bush 41 encourage them to revolt, I have never seen proof that Bush 41 promised to help them crush Saddam. It would be like me telling you to go ahead buy a car; but that doesn't mean I intend to make your payments. Bush probably though they were asking if Bush would stop them, not asking him to help.

Control of Saddam only began in 1992........before that, Reagan and Bush Sr. considered him to be 'a special friend'.

Really, because the invasion of Kuwait was in August of 90, and the war took place in 91. Do you have links to show Bush 41 was friendly after the invasion.
