AFAIK, Saddam gassed the kurds in 1998. I think the Iran Iraq war was sti8ll on in 84.

It was ten years earlier and no one knows for sure if Saddam gassed all of the dead or killed them with bullets. There is one village of 5k that everyone is pretty sure people died from gas.
