WESTBURY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 2003--Vasomedical, Inc. (NasdaqSmallCap: VASO) announced today that changes to the Physician Fee Schedule for Calendar Year 2003 recently published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will result in a new national average payment level of $195.45 per session for the Company's EECP® enhanced external counterpulsation therapy administered in the physician office. The new average payment reflects a 27 percent increase for EECP over 2002 levels. The national average payment rate for the therapy has increased by 54 percent over the past three years.
