<I guess I'm not following why it is that you don't get on board the human rights argument for removing Saddam.>

Now, frankly, what's a normal, reformed liberal quasi conservative, albeit compassionate westerner to do. Is there no end to this Middle East madness? ... Iraq NO WAR!

Nothing? That is your solution? Don't you think democratic rule in Iraq might help? Or are you okay with leaving a mass murderer in charge. You must think that since it is a mess, we should leave it alone so we don't get stuck in a quagmire. But didn't you say that since the Israeli/Palestinian conflict was a mess, we should fix it?

I truly don't understand your logic. Saddam kills 100,000, or 200,000 by one of your links (assumingly to eliminate a small percentage of 'terrorists'), including the indiscriminate rounding up of male Kurds and simply executing them, and your solution is, essentially, "What a mess. Leave me out of it."

If that's the case, it is pretty lame Ted. Please tell me that isn't the case.

TIA,

JJ
