this last weekend i decided to pay close attention to the local protestors to see what valid points they had, that i may have been missing. the main protest took place up in santa cruz county, so i did most of my checking by tv and listening to a local and bias radio station from that area.

what i came away with was that the protestors didn't give a toot about the iraqi people, but felt the same as the french, that is if we ignore the problem, it will go away. they feel that bush is after the oil, but they thought the same thing during the gulf war and they, again, ignore the fact that proved not to be the case. their number one thing that comes through loud and clear is that they are against bush and that tends to be the reason they are against the administrations objectives.

also, something that seems very evident is the protestors are behaving as if their marches are some type of reunion from the 60s and 70s. it appears they have found a means to regain their youth and haven't bothered to compare the differences from viet nam to todays situation. their failure to be honest with themselves and to realize this is americas defense, not a war between the north and south in some other country. at least that's the way it looks from what i see in santa cruz california.

this is your brain on drugs...woops...to late for some.
