I think the scariest thing about old bob is he is still in the big leagues. If you think about it old bob has only had a few at bats off major league pitching. In January 1988 he did get an at bat and went down swinging by getting out of a bull market. In February 1989 he got called up and had the longest at bat ever! He fouled off pitches for almost two years before finally going down swinging. He was bench warmer bob for 9 years. Then He did get another at bat in January 2000 and he hit one off the wall for a stand up double. It would have been a dinger if he had gotten 100% out of the market. A double wasn’t good enough for old bob, he had to try to stretch it into a triple by acting immediately. You guessed it he was out at third by a country mile.

Since then he could have gotten back in the game and hit some homers to help make up for his “base running error”. But he didn’t. Instead all he has done is take batting practice. Funny thing about bob’s approach to batting practice. He just sits there with the bat on his shoulder.
