We have no idea what the UN is doing in Bosnia, but of course the UN is only doing it with other countries' troops. As to the trial against Milosevic, that is of highly questionable legality, besides which it doesn't seem to be going much of anywhere. The problem with the World Court is its excessive politicization. It hasn't even indicted Saddam, for example, even though his gassing of the Kurds is well documented. It hasn't indicted any of the leadership of Hamas, even though their suicide bombing is clearly contrary to international law. It hasn't, as far as I can see, done a single thing to advance the cause of world peace except try to put on a show trial against a man who was defeated not even by the UN but by Nato, which probably itself should be been indicted for many of its tactics such as the clear targeting of civilian infrastructure.

The WC is a joke, and not a very funny one at that.
