This may be the problem you were having: Can't Find File Error Update for HP Photo and Imaging Software h20015.www2.hp.com As to the difficulty of finding drivers, what can be simpler than clicking "Driver Downloads" here: hp.com then entering "Photosmart 7350" and clicking on your Operating System. It seems very straightforward to me! Downloaded updates ARE free...but CD-ROM's are not...just name any other company that does it differently.
