He is so focused on it that he has abandoned Tony Blair in his hour of need. Two points: Ex-Presidents should take a back seat after their term is over. No back-seat driving. Secondly, Clinton MO is to abandon his friends. Clinton's wanderings are littered with the friends he has used and abandoned. He wouldn't come to Blair's aid at this point because Blair is perceived as being politically radioactive.
