True enough, but I see him as a regional abscess, and once he's lanced out of power, the West might find a good regional partner in Iraq from which to fight terrorism. I don't know what to say about nuclear proliferation, other than Saddam has tried in the past to gain access to things nuclear. So with him out of the way, that threat in the Middle East will be diminished, imo.
