They knew there was oil there, that's why they didn't offer the rights to a big company, they wanted a bigger slice of the pie, more than a big company would give them. This explains why they have only been negotiating with small companies to look in the fields. Small companies who will offer much more to them. They were probably looking for the smallest one out there with enough connections to do it. What better than a company that was trading at $.50 a share? Cheers! Kyle..
