Clearly, the lives of unfree, civilian "colateral" Iraqis and Afghanis are of less value than those of Americans.

When the president of the US makes a decision I think he should value the lives of Americans more highly then the lives of others.

In any case a reasonable argument can be made that more years of Saddam + sanctions will cause more death and suffering then an invasion.
