Boz, got any productive suggestions for dealing with the alleged monopoly? Or just criticism?

If the MLS is the "monopoly" you and Lizzie are referring to, how about if you petition your legislators to make it a state-run mechanism? That will be interesting, particularly in light of the bitching and moaning going on about tax burdens lately.

I'm sure real estate agents would at least entertain the suggestion that they become state or local government employees and receive all the retirement, health and other benefits which accrue with those positions. And you as a consumer would really enjoy paying for same, right? Oh sure.

Let's carry this idea further...how about if we mandate that homeowners sell their home throught the state, instead of making an independent decision to sell and buy a home themselves, and instead of having someone else guide them through the process. And let's mandate that grocery stores are run by the state, too, because those food prices are way too high. Good grief.
