I think they are too stylish and expensive to take off-road regularly. I have three (if you count mine), just replaced two of them and paid good money for it. I buy them for defense mainly, which means my wife and kids drive them. So they won't get off-road very much. I don't use an SUV except for off-road travel. But I am sure no one but me would like to drive my SUV anywhere but in the hills - if there. The thing is not exactly Park Avenue material, but it is powerful, will pull anything anywhere and grips like a mountain goat. It is a Rover that my boys and I built almost from scratch.
