I think the coverage of protests and the talk of the US backing away is all smoke. We will be watching an ass kicking of biblical proportion on or about March 1st. The biggest problem I have is that we waited about 18 months from 9/11 and even worse about 10 years longer than we should have. I refuse to blame any one person for why we have to do what it is we have to do. Some blame Bush Sr. for not going all the way, some blame Clinton and some blame GW. No one person is to blame other than Saddam. I'm concerned that the amount of time it has taken will result in a higher body count than needed to be but we can't look back. If we waste time doing that the body count will grow and the location of war may shift to our soil. The American people still (on average) have no balls when it comes to war. Our parents and the good times they died for sheltered most of us (including myself) to the tough decisions that life deals us at times. I applaud GW's conviction to go ahead with this war regardless of public opinion. While many may not agree at least we know we have a leader in office. If this mission fails in any way he will take a huge historical fall. The fact that he'd bet his career, image and place in history to do this tells me its serious. At least he didn't bet all those things on a cigar!
