Well, here's the recent history as to what happens when the US has a toe-hold in the Middle East.

Remember Lebanon whan the marine barracks was blown up, and so, so many deaths? So what happened? Ding! Reagan withdrew.

Remember when Bush got the military in Saudi Arabia, who complained and acted the most? Ding! OBL and look what happened.

So what'll happen with the US firmly entrenched in Iraq, this after having killed perhaps hundreds of thousands of Muslims in the process? Ding! More terrorism.

There is one hope, however. If we can teach the Arabs to play baseball, maybe we can turn it all around--lol! Hey, it might be our best hope! Think of the players salaries what with all that oil money!
