From the Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education: "In the US residential real estate mkt, information inefficiencies have been capitalized into fees for real estate sales agents. In any real estate market, information is power. This power has, in the past, been controlled largely by real estate agents via the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and its affiliated local chapters and indirectly throughout the Multiple Listing Service's (MLS) computer-based information service.
