Did you catch the JMAR news yesterday?>
JMAR Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:JMAR - News), a developer of advanced lasers, Collimated Plasma Lithography (CPL(TM)) systems, and semiconductor production services, today announced that its San Diego Research Division has successfully completed the initial testing of the company's CPL Source and has shipped the Source to its Systems Division in Burlington, Vt., where it is now being integrated with JMAR's Beta Model Stepper.

The company also announced that it has achieved a significant improvement in the resolution of the Source from the 130nm dense lines it had reported earlier this month. In its most recent tests, the Source produced 100nm-dense lines, and 70nm isolated lines. Those tests also confirmed that the Source was able to print sub-80nm contact 2D arrays on 200nm pitch on the same exposure fields. This was accomplished with the same static Beta Source, Resist, and Mask apparatus used in the earlier tests, but at a reduced gap between the mask and wafer. JMAR will further characterize the performance of its CPL technology once the Source and Stepper have been integrated.
