OK so you meant its arrogant to dismiss the POV of others or more specifically its arrogant for the US to dismiss the POV of other countries. I would say there is something to that idea but

1 - I don't think listening to and disagreeing with someone is exactly the same thing as dismissing their ideas out of hand. One can argue about how much Bush and his administration have really listened to the French and German governments (and governments like Saudi and Egypt and Jordan) about this issue, but I think they at least had examined many of the ideas in internal debate before finally settling on supporting the use of force.

Getting back to something that we have discussed before concerning disagreements with Europe, the Bush administration (particularly Rumsfeld) could have been more diplomatic about the disagreement...

and

2 - If we have dismissed the POV of others then it would also be fair to say that they have done the same to us.
