Except, he DID do the right thing. He converted NeXT to a
software company, then he found a hardware company that had the
price/market share to be a competitive platform for NeXT OS
(Apple), and he merged with them. Now he has got what he wanted:
NeXT on a viable platform. Seems like quite a coupe to me!
