Pretty much so. Chinese only wants to take care of their own business. "Dominant power"? maybe, or maybe not, China has NO desire, whatsoever, to dominant others. All they want is to live a better life and not to be lectured by others, that is all.
China has tried to pursued NK to open their economy, and start some kind of economic reform, ever since 1978, but their leader does not listen. I guess China has done what it could.
Again, as I said before, this new round of crisis started by Bush's "Axies of evil". There is a saying in China, the problem can only be solved by the parties that caused the problem.
BTW, personally, I think this NK problem, just like Iraqi problem, has been blown way out of proportion. First, no one knows for sure that NK has nuclear weapon. Second, even if it has, it will use it as a bargaining power. |
