No, they don't. You can't disarm an uncooperative Iraq with inspectors. And some other nations want to "let inspections work". This is the same as doing nothing.

Inspections were fine for containment. But once containment failed, war became the only option.

Not true.


It certainly IS true. The only reason problems get push into the future is because they're too tough to deal with. In future years, they are only tougher. I don't care what it is. Saddam. North Korea. Social Security. You name it. Real problems don't, in my experience, solve themselves.

Whatever. You're so bitter.

I am. I believe liberalism is the cause of most of the problems we have today. Failed social programs (like Social Security). Massive government spending on Great Society programs. I won't pursue it further just now, since it is approaching midnight and I still have work to do. But I don't believe there are many liberal initiatives that are successes.
