Please know Tiger Paw that I do not know how to post to myself so I have to respond to this post of yours to get this post, which is about the newspaper article this morning by Cal Thomas. I cannot copy and paste ( have to take a computer course ) so essentially it is about Congressional Spending. It is spending more that it is collecting from us private citizens and not all for defense. How about this:
$ 750.000 on a Baseball Hall of Fame
$350.000 for a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
$90.000 for Cowgirl Hall of Fame.
$Rep. Thomas A Davis issued a press release trumpeting a $ 500.000 grant for a ball park in his district.
House Democrat Whip Steny Hoyer.D Md. got 5.5.MILLION for the Beltsville Honey Bee Laboratory. Sen. Byrd. D. W.V. squeezed out $ 150.000 to enlarge his office. ( he is an infamous PORK BARRELER )
The list goes on and on. These PORK expenses are done in the dead of night and in secret negotiations. There are more but I did not post them all. But one million for Bear DNA sampling project in Montana I should also mention. This is tax season. We have to keep on feeding these ridiculous expenditures with the IRS as WATCHDOG to our fiscal responsibility. Oh, Well....
