Overestimation of Iraqi resistance There's the old saying that you should never underestimate the enemy, but we probably are doing the opposite again. In the desert, the Iraqi army will fold just like it did in GW1. Baghdad will be surrounded within days. At that point it may get trickier, but visions of urban warfare and massive U.S. casualties, I believe, are unfounded. We have the technology to cutoff communications and the Iraqi army will be in the dark. 80% of them don't want to fight anyway and you'll see mass desertions. I think it will be quicker than anyone thinks.
