I remember your "Dumb & Dumber" rants. Although we may lean in opposite ends of the political spectrum, methinks it is more left & right of center. It saddens me to watch special interests & big business to get a ridiculously disproportionate share of political favors/attention/benefits while each party grows further & further apart. It seems that hate & divisiveness now rule as each party attempts to differentiate itself. And forget about open honest debate. Lies, slander & the politics of personal destruction have replaced debate of differing opinion or resolving pressing issues we face. Just read the political discussions on SI if you doubt me. FWIW, I tend to agree with your POV about a third force....... or a viable third party. Sadly the two main parties we have to choose from will try to keep it that way (just two)...... because a viable third party could quickly become a dominant party under the right circumstances........ as the two main ones we have now are not for the people, of the people or by the people, regardless of the false perception they spin that it is so.
