Iraq's policies have been much better in the last 12 years than they were in the 12 before.

Well, they've been hampered by UN economic sanctions and the no-fly zones for the past 12 years. But the sanctions aren't going to be maintained forever. Saddam has been attempting to bribe several UN Security Council member nations - France, Russia, and China - into ending sanctions.

If this war were really about policies the war would be against one of many other more deserving targets.

France?

The number one reason for attacking Iraq seems to be that it is weak, and not that it is a threat. After that it is natural resources

Canada is weak and rich in natural resources. And its so close. Wonder why we aren't attacking them?
