Dear Joe:

What is to stop AMD from qualifying DDR-400 (PC3200) or even DDR-466 (PC3700)? It uses the same electrical and command interfaces but, at a higher speed. So if DDR-400 is available, it is just a quick retest to support it with no more than a BIOS change at most. Thus a single Opteron with dual DDR will have the same bandwidth (and possibly more) with much lower latency and larger sizes. Of course 2 way and up will blow away all comers.
